Demo Rules
- Each presenter has five minutes to present. The presenter must be lined up and ready to present immediately after the previous presenter has finished. The order will be determined alphabetically. The presenter MUST finish in the allotted time and must stick to relevant facts such as: company profile, capitalization, market potential, revenue and earnings, etc. Self-promotion is not permitted.
- At least Three panelists will rate your presentation on a scale of 1-10. Each judge has one minute for follow up. Presenters and judges will be notified by a timer when their time is up.
- All presenters will be automatically entered in iHollywood Forum's "Best of Show" awards. This will be awarded to the presenter with the most points from the audience. In the event of a tie, it will be broken by iHollywood Forum's CEO, the judges or the audience, at our discretion.
- All presenters must give us any Powerpoints or videos they wish to use as part of their presentation at least one week in advance, so they may be loaded on our laptop.
- Presenters must meet for 10 minutes with iHollywood Forum's CEO or another iHollywood staff member to ensure their presentations are appropriate.
- All "Best of Show" presenters will be included in a pre-conference press release on BusinessWire. The winner will be announced during the show, and will receive a trophy. The winner will also be featured in a post-show release over BusinessWire.
- Deviation from the rules disqualifies a company from the "Best of Show" contest.
- Panelists, exhibitors and sponsoring companies are eligible to participate in iHollywood demos, and our sales people are permitted to solicit potential participants. However, decisions about who participates on the demo sessions will be made as much as possible on the merits of the presenter. The judges will be instructed to disregard completely whether a company sponsors or not.
- The fee for speaking is $2500. This covers our staff costs and helps us make a reasonable profit from the conference. It also ensures that only serious companies with adequate funding compete. We may consider partial payment of the fee in exceptional circumstances, but the presenting company must give a written explanation of why a partial payment should be awarded. There will be no full scholarships. Payment is due at time of acceptance. Non-payment disqualifies a company from presenting.
- Presenting companies may also be exhibitors for an additional fee. That fee is not a requirement of presenting, and has no bearing on the judges' decision making. Some presenting companies may also be selected independently for speaking on panels in other sessions.
